Like the Gallic village of “Asterix and Obelix” fame, for 20 years this bar has withstood all the many changes going on around it. Which is good news for fans of the relaxed bar culture.

Much has changed in the area around the Total Bar in recent years. Langstrasse has evolved from a seedy milieu into a popular nightlife district, while Europaallee has transformed itself from an anonymous railroad warehouse wasteland into a trendy shopping mile. Only the Total Bar has remained steadfast in the middle of it all and continues to do what it does best. It is a small, attractive, and cozy bar without airs and graces.

The wood-paneled interior is warm and inviting, the walls are decorated in two colors, and the drinks list features a few French and Italian beverages that are hardly to be found elsewhere. Otherwise, the appeal of this small bar is due to its loyal, pure soul.
