The lakeside beach in Lucerne offers seasonal bathing fun in the heart of Lucerne.Open in summer until 8.00 p.m. for bathing and late into the night for dinner guests. Besides bathing, swimming and sunbathing, visitors can also enjoy massages and yoga.

At the impressive Lucerne Nationalquai, right in front of historic hotel complexes, bathers have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the clean lake, to increase their physical fitness, and to sunbathe on the sun deck or relax in the shade.

From the outside, this structure built in 1884/85 looks like a giant wooden box, but once you cross the footbridge and go inside, you'll immediately fall under the spell of this wonderful Belle Epoque bathing complex. Made entirely of wood, there are simple changing cubicles around the two inner courtyards with lakewater swimming pools. Bathers swim in the open water towards the lake.

The lido is particularly popular at weekends, lunchtimes and in the evening, when guests seek refreshment during their break or after work. From the lakeside and roof terrace, visitors can enjoy a clear view of Mount Pilatus, the KKL Culture and Convention Centre and Lucerne station. Simple dining options and a bar complement the bathing facilities.
This lakeside bathing facility is very popular over lunchtime and in the evenings, when guests come here to enjoy a refreshing dip during the lunch pause or after work - naturally in addition to weekends. In general its people of a certain age who come here, as there are no additional entertaining features that attract familes with children and youths. The Seebad Lucerne is run by a team of lifeguards who at the same are responsible for catering to appetites with something to eat.
